At Grow by Design, we are passionate gardeners dedicated to sharing our knowledge, plants, and ideas with everyone. We believe that gardening should be accessible and enjoyable for all. We've learned a lot, made a lot of mistakes, and will continue to do both, but the joy it brings is what really matters.

After a rather difficult battle with anxiety, self acceptance, and some other mental health, I needed something to keep myself focused on moving forward. Christmas of 2023, my partner bought me a small hydroponics tabletop garden to grow herbs and spices, but I realized I found a new passion. Just over a year later, from succulents to tropicals, and vegetables to fruit trees, we have collected, propagated, and grown hundreds of varieties of plants year-round.

Jonny and I met when we were both in rather dark places in life. As we worked on our personal growth together, I had a long awaited project to create 2 large raised garden beds along our front porch, a small tribute to my late partner I had lost a few years prior to cancer. He absolutely loved planting beautiful annuals each spring. Jo
Jonny and I met when we were both in rather dark places in life. As we worked on our personal growth together, I had a long awaited project to create 2 large raised garden beds along our front porch, a small tribute to my late partner I had lost a few years prior to cancer. He absolutely loved planting beautiful annuals each spring. Jonny happily assisted in helping me build these beds from blockwork to planting and pruning. From here, a new joint hobby was born.

We started helping with plant repotting, seed starting, selling our propagations, helping with companion plants and natural pest repellents, etc. Brad already had a small design and decal business, and Jonny was unknowingly creating a small gardening business. Thus, after a lot of thought, we combined our efforts into 1 business to build together. Our 2 passions of growing and design, combined with the personal growth we've experienced together, led to a very fitting name,
